J. F. Kennedy Arboretum , (127 images) This park is dedicated to the memory of J. F. Kennedy. President of the United States of America 1961-1963. It is a tribute to the life and work of President Kennedy from United States citizens of Irish origin, organized by the combined effort of Irish - American Societies and executed through the co-operation of the Irish Goverment. The J. F. Kennedy Arboretum is situated 12 km south of New Ross. A prominent hill rising above the the Kennedy ancestral home at Dnganstown. The park was opened in 1968 and covers 252 ha (623 acres).
